MOLLY-Mae Hague and Maura Higgins competed for Tommy Fury’s heart in tonight’s explosive episode of Love Island, while Amy Hart was determined to get her friendship with Lucie Donlan back on track.
What happened in Love Island tonight?
Tommy made it clear that he had proceeded onward from Molly, telling the grid girl: “My mind is clear. I got everything I had to say out in the open last night”.
Later in the day, Maura continued the conversation about her love triangle situation with Amber Gill, who stressed that Molly really liked Tommy – yet Maura contended that the social media influencer “didn’t say that to me”.
It wasn’t long before Molly made her presence known before pouring her heart out about her sentiments towards Tommy, explaining that she felt her relationship with the hunk from Manchester was fading on the grounds that he had spent more time with Maura since her arrival.
“I felt like he prioritised you before even making sure I was ok,” Molly expressed to Maura, who reacted by saying: “I do feel like me and Tommy have a connection and I want to pursue that”.
“Last night, you didn’t say that you really liked him. There was a connection with me and Tommy. He did tell me he liked me. I’m here to find someone”.
Clearly pestered by the discussion, Maura clarified in the Beach Hut how she didn’t care for the manner in which the situation between her and Molly was being handled- particularly with Amber’s partake in the drama.
“I don’t need to ask Molly-Mae’s permission to crack on with Tommy Fury. Is she joking?” the Irish model said.
Later in the day, Molly had approached Tommy for a talk on the terrace, where she disclosed to him how sorry she was for her conduct the night earlier.
After telling the boxer that she still felt strongly for him, Molly also understood that “if you feel like what you have with Maura, after knowing the girl for 24 hours, is stronger than what you have with me then that’s absolutely fine”.
Soon after, Maura and Tommy talked on the day beds about their future together, with the athlete being heard saying: “I’m hugely attracted to you. You know you’re sexy”.
Maura used this as her chance to ask Tommy: “What about if I asked you to kiss me?”
Further on, newcomer Elma, who took a jab at Anton’s style during their dinner date, had told Maura that she truly developed an affection for the gym owner.
She told her fellow islander that during their date in the garden, Anton was “quite serious so I want to get the fun side out of him”.
And when asked by Amy on whether she chose him because he was a single guy in the villa, Elma didn’t hesitate with her answer: “I picked him because I thought he deserved a chance”.
By the end of the night, the boys were treated to a spa session following a text received by Curtis Pritchard, which read: “Boys. It’s time to kick back and relax as today you’re all going on a spa day”.
The boys used their time together to discuss the dynamic following the arrival of two new islanders – with everybody concurring that the newcomers had unquestionably shaken up the Spanish villa.
And after having been filled in on the drama between Amy and Lucie, Elma took it upon herself to try and squash the feud between the two.
Lucie seemed bothered that Amy still felt a certain way about her spending a lot of time with Joe Garratt – but after asking Yewande, Amber and Anna for their opinion, the girls sided with Amy.
“It’s only because everyone wants to spend more time with you,” Anna said.
During a chat with Curtis, Amy expressed her frustration about Lucie before being confronted by the surfer who had been under the impression that the two had resolved their issues.Amy gushed: “I start thinking that you don’t like me anymore. I don’t want this to be an issue”.
And after Lucie broke down in tears, Amy was quick to try and console her pal, telling her that she didn’t want their friendship to fall apart over a misunderstanding.
But will the two end up resolving their differences as the series continues?
Despite the drama throughout the episode, Danny professed his love for Yewande in the garden, mentioning that he’d been wanting to kiss the scientist.
The two ended up kissing while Amber and Michael Griffiths cheered them on.
