But what guests might not know is that some offer extra perks that aren’t always advertised online.

If you have an early flight and have to check out before breakfast, ask reception whether they can prepare a breakfast-to-go option.
You’ll need to have a bed and breakfast booking, but it means you never have to go hungry if you have to leave early.
The secret freebies available through Park Plaza will depend on which property you’re staying in.
For example, the Park Plaza Waterloo offers a kids amenity kit, which includes a mini robe and slippers, as well as a potty and stool to help them reach the sink.
Adults can also request robes and slippers, as they are not in every room.
At the Park Plaza Westminster, you can request hairbrushes, hot chocolates and cappuccinos, which are not in the rooms.
The hotel also takes requests for special occasions, including birthdays and anniversaries, when they will put out towel swans or chocolate platters in your room.
Jurys Inn recently announced a new Happiness Menu for guests who stay at their Liverpool branch, which could soon be rolled out across the country.
Guests could request items including a signature scent featuring apple, lemon and bergamot, as well as bubble baths, light therapy lamps and activity kits for kids.
Adults can request a Me Time kit which includes pampering goodies such as face and hair masks, as well as complimentary bottles of water.
Z Hotels, which has ten branches across London, Liverpool and Glasgow, offer three hours of free cheese, bread and wine at their properties.
Guests are welcome to mingle in the cafe or to enjoy it in the privacy of their own rooms.
Hard Rock Hotel
Music fans can borrow a Fender guitar, along with Nixon headphones and a Fender Mustag floor amplifier, to jam in their own room at any of the Hard Rock Hotels – and it’s all for free.
There are also video lessons within the room for newbies to get to grips with the instruments.
When you check into a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, you’re greeted with a warm chocolate chip cookie.
But you can actually request another one after you’re checked in.
The cookies are so popular, they are even sold online.
Guests staying at any Crowne Plaza hotels can take advantage of their ‘With Our Compliments’ programme.
As well as the amenities provided in the rooms, the hotels will also offer toothbrush with toothpaste, razors with shaving cream, combs, nail files and female sanitary products.
Any clothing mishaps can also be fixed with free sewing kits and shoe shining kits that are available upon request.
Similar to Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn also offer additional amenities for guests for free which includes shaving cream and razor, toothbrush and toothpaste, cotton woo pads, sanitary products, nail files, body lotion and combs.
However, kids are also able to eat breakfast for free when they’re staying at a Holiday Inn with their parents.
