SHOPPERS can pick up a twin pack of rump steaks for £5 at Morrisons in a special Valentine’s Day offer.
Morrisons has reduced the steaks, which weigh 250g each (500g a packet), ahead of February 14.
A standard steak from the supermarket usually costs around £4 per 250g, so this is quite a bargain.
Morrisons’ Valentine’s British Rump steak twin pack is available in stores and online from Monday to Sunday next week.
Tesco has a similar pack on sale for £7.50.
You can also get roughly the same sized steaks from Asda under a current two for £7 deal.
At £18.25, its Surf & Turf dinner comes with a starter, a main, a side, a dessert and a bottle of Prosecco.
The £15.75 Sweetheart Steak & Chips deal is made of two rump steaks, chips, and asparagus tips.
But if you’re not a fan of steak, there are plenty of other bargain meal options up for grabs on the most romantic day of the year.
Aldi’s Specially Selected meal deal, which includes a main, a side and a dessert, costs just £7.
For those willing to spend a bit extra, Marks & Spencer has enhanced its dine-in for two deals.
At £20, you can get a starter, a main, a side, a dessert, chocolates and a bottle of Prosecco.
Choices include seabass fillets, dauphinoise potatoes – and there’s even a vegan option available.
