Soon you’ll be able to buy bottles of coconut-flavoured Barcadi in Asda for just £16
ASDA is launching a brand new coconut-flavoured rum in UK stores later this month.
The new tipple will cost £16 for a 70cl bottle and will be available from June 20.
Bacardi Coconut is created by infusing white run with coconut flavours and will be exclusively rolled out in Asda stores.
The drink is a new competitor for Malibu, but is likely to be more expensive.
Usually you can pick up a 70cl of Malibu for just £15 in Sainsbury’s. Tesco and Asda – £1 cheaper than Bacardi’s new offering.
And there’s a fantastic deal at Tesco where you can get a bottle for just £10 until June 17.
Even though the new Bacardi Coconut will be more expensive than Malibu, it’s also more alcoholic.
Bacardi’s new drink is 32 per cent ABV while Malibu is just 21 per cent ABV.
The producer says the new flavoured rum is best enjoyed with a tropical mixer like pineapple juice or used in a cocktail such as a Piña Colada.
This is the latest in a line of flavoured runs launched by Bacardi.
The Sun has asked Asda whether the new rum will be available in all stores nationwide and we will update this story when we know.
